Cameron Sanders Design I

To me this stylised silver fern looks like a rather flimsy paper dart.

I agree, the fern is so stylised it becomes meaningless. It could be a road disappearing into the distance, or a trail left by a slug. You would have to be a New Zealander to recognise it as a fern at all, which kind of misses the point of using a national symbol in the first place.

Ive never seen a fern that looked like that.
Its too styalised but otherwise this is well recognised on the ptherside of the world (without styalisation) and we would be the only country to have a black flag.

IF we have to change flags AGAIN then this is the only one that i would acknowledge as A flag.

One word came to mind: sychophant. This is John Key's doodle!

Too abstract and too black.

Can't we get over black - it is so Johnny Depp "Pirates of the Caribbean" (not even pirates of the South Pacific) :-)

If you want a black flag with silver fern, there are better examples out there than this piece of art, which by the way, is not appropriate for a flag.
